DE Backwash Sock The Patent Pending DE Sock is a long tubular cloth sock that gets attached to the backwash outlet pipe. The DE Sock fits any size backwash outlet pipe, either PVC or copper. It is inserted over the pipe and the Velcro strap is then wrapped snuggly around and fixed on itself. Since the DE Sock has a sticky material on its inside, it grips the pipe and will not fall off. Once properly attached, the user then proceeds to backwash the swimming pool filter and the DE Sock catches all the dirt and DE but lets the water pass through! You now have an easy solution when doing simple backwashes that does not leave any mess to clean up!
