Hayward FD Heater Pressure Switch FDXLWPS1930 Water Pressure Switch Replacement Procedure. FDXLWPS1930 for Universal H-Series (Forced-Draft) Heaters IMPORTANT NOTES: This kit is intended to be used only with Hayward Universal H-Series (forced-draft) gas heater models. These heaters may be identified by inspection of the heater rating plate (there should be an “FD” in the model number), or by visual inspection of the heater in comparison to the diagrams in these instructions. REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE Turn pump, main gas valve, and heater power off. Remove 6 screws and remove the upper plastic heater side panel, to allow access to the header (see Figure 1 for screw locations). Disconnect wires from pressure switch. Remove pressure switch by un-threading it from the header (see Figure 2 for pressure switch location). Install new pressure switch in header. Apply pipe thread sealant to pressure switch threads before assembly. Use care to not cross-thred the pressure switch when threading into the header. Connect wires to new pressure switch. Test operation of the pressure switch and adjust if necessary (see below). Re-install upper plastic heater side panel. Hayward H-Series Ignitor HAXIGN1931 For Hayward H-Series Low-NOx Heaters, All Size. The hot surface ignitor automatically lights the burners. To replace Hot Surface Ignitor: Turn pump, main gas valve, and heater power off. Remove front access door. Disconnect igniter leads plug from wire harness plug. Remove two screws that fasten ignitor. Replace defective ignitor and reverse the above procedure.

These heaters may be identified by inspection of the heater rating plate (there should be an “FD”‘ in the model number), or by visual inspection of the heater in comparison to the diagrams in these instructions. REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE Turn pump, main gas valve, and heater power off. Loosen 4 screws on front access door and remove front access door. Remove screws and remove control box cover. Disconnect the ignitor plug from the large circuit board located inside the control box. Remove screw and move ignitor access cover to allow access to the ignitor. Note the cover remains connected to the ignitor wires. Remove 2 screws and remove the old ignitor from heater front combustion chamber panel. Separate the old black plastic strain relief from the ignitor access cover by compressing the tabs using a pair of pliers. Istall new ignitor to heater front combustion chamber panel with 2 screws. Route new ignitor wires through hole in ignitor access cover and install ignitor access cover ln heater

This kit contains the newer version Fasco branded combustion blower. When replacing the Jakel combustion blower with the Fasco blower it is required to replace the additional parts: Ignition control board Blower vacuum switch Associated gaskets Combustion blower transition sheet metal (2) pieces Combustion blower sheet metal transition pieces (2), upper and lower.
